A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie (born Artist Julius Dubose on December 6, 1995) is a Bronx-born rapper, singer, and songwriter known for blending melodic rap with emotional storytelling.
He broke out in 2016 with his mixtape Artist, building momentum with raw lyricism and hook-heavy tracks. His debut studio album, The Bigger Artist (2017), featured the hit single “Drowning” (feat. Kodak Black) and reached Number 4 on the Billboard 200.
He followed that with Hoodie SZN (2018), which hit Number 1, and Artist 2.0 (2020), which debuted at Number 2. His later albums, including Me vs. Myself (2022), continue to showcase his signature blend of trap beats and emotionally resonant melodies.
A Boogie co-founded Highbridge The Label, partnering with Atlantic Records early in his career. His stage name comes from “Ace Boogie,” a character in the film Paid in Full, and his habit of wearing hoodies.
With his introspective lyrics, melodic flow, and genuine connection to his Bronx roots, A Boogie has become a defining voice in modern hip-hop.
